Some examples of how I have used my skills to turn policy into action:
NHS Greenwich TPCT
Led the commissioning and development of a Teaching PCT for multiple Primary Care Trusts across SE London. Influenced key stakeholders to initiate a Learning Alliance between 9 key partners to identify opportunities for shared education, training and research across the sector and to progress projects. Achieved buy-in from multiple Trusts, Universities & NHS Stakeholders to commission & support 7 innovative clinician-led service and role redesign projects
Foresters
Successfully led the UK pilot site of Foresters, the international mutual organisation, in testing and refining the new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy. The result was an 82% vote by the elected members in favour of adopting the strategy. Led UK rollout of CSR, a £3m change management programme in 4 regions and 82 branches. Foresters is a North American financial services group with £1bn turnover, 1 million members & 20% of its business in UK
NHS: rollout of NMDI
Responsible for engaging 6 primary care trusts to select and engage senior and middle managers to sign up for National Management Development Initiative (NMDI), a management development programme. Set up a steering group of key individuals from the trusts & supporting bodies to be advocates of the programme and to drive it forward. Created an enticing communications programme to generate wider interest and commitment. Developed innovative solutions for further development of the managers following a high impact development centre, focusing on multi-disciplinary working and shared learning, to maximise benefits to the trusts. Ensured benfits realised by measuring and evaluating the success of the programme in achieving key organisational objectives
